Employees and community members lead free workshops throughout the semester ranging from straw-bale construction to herbal remedies.
CCAT is always busy building new projects and maintaining existing ones. Like to garden? Do groundskeeping? Paint signs? Work on Appropriate Tech projects? And get a free lunch to boot?
Join us on Volunteer Fridays from 10am – 4pm every schoolweek!
Want to be even more involved? Join the CCAT Club – check our Calendar for specific dates.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Want to help out but can’t come on a regular basis? Or, maybe you have a special skill that we should know about? Let us know!
Please see our Jobs page for the latest information.
Every first Friday of the month at 7pm, we welcome everyone to share a meal at CCAT and enjoy performances by local bands and/or speakers. It’s a great way to meet new people interested in the environment and Appropriate Tech, chat with CCATers, and learn more about the house and grounds!
Come for the food and the live music, stay for the community!
You can receive HSU credit by enrolling in classes taught at CCAT. We offer many different courses. Please see the Classes page for more information.
With over a thousand books on appropriate technology, gardening, social and environmental justice, water rights, how-tos, green construction and much more, you can spend hours in CCAT’s library or check out a book to bring home!
Please see our Library page for details.
